One Minute Endgame Challenge: KQ vs K – Exeter Junior Chess Club

You need the help of the King for this one.

Watch out for stalemate!

There is a nifty way of herding the defending King by placing your Queen a Knight’s move away, then following what the King does until it hits the edge, then you fence it in, then you checkmate. You can see both approaches in the file and video. [This was shown to me by Bethany’s Grandad!]
